Access: Lift off for smaller glass cubes. Hinged with gas springs for larger island cases. Top hinged with support stay for cases against walls. Powered vertical lift system can be fitted, a good solution for large plan area cases

Glass specification: For reasons of security, conservation and safety, only museum quality laminated anti-bandit glass to BS5544 specification is used. For larger cases, 11.5 -13.5mm glass is standard. This laminated museum glass filters over 97% of UV radiation between 320 & 380 nanometres'
Optiwhite and low reflective Amiran™ Optiwhite glass is an available option. This, unlike standard glass which has a green tinge, ensures that delicately coloured items such as illuminated manuscripts, textiles and art are seen in their true colours.
Locking: Abloy™ push button locks as standard. For enhanced security, double locking with Abloy™ CL291 removable cartridge lock to conceal secure mechanical locking system
Internal panels: Panelsafe™ with an appropriate fabric finish is recommended or, ZF MDF with appropriate sealing and inert spray finish, approved fabric covering, or Nextel™ finish
Door seal: Extruded silicone bubble seal mechanically held in place
Glass to metal joints: Neutral curing silicone to allow for differential thermal expansion
Glass to glass joints: Ultra clear UV cured adhesive to butted or mitred joints
Lighting: Fibre optic lighting is recommended
Environmental conditioning: Humidity, temperature and pollution control can be provided passively or through our specialised equipment
Conservation: All materials and finishes within the display chamber are to recognised conservation standards. The laminated glass filters out over 97% of ultra-violet light between 320 & 380 nanometres.
Additional environmental and conservation features which can be incorporated include silica gel/Artsorb trays for control of relative humidity and charcoal cloth and other active scavengers for specific pollutants.
Dress panels are available in 'Panelsafe' a totally inert panel material which can be screwed and fixed into.
